You were about 15 minutes from my house. I live 15 miles south west of I-5 @ Yreka, in a little place called Ft Jones. There was a great article on Yahoo news a few years about it, but my search just showed nothing. It is more than a bit frustrating living in a VERY rural part of a state, and having urban people 800 miles away creating laws that have NO effect on them, but quite a bit on you. I still think we'd be better off if we seceded from the rest of the two states. I think most people in LA don't realize anyone lives north of San Fransisco...
