We can't seem to get any rain here. Just shy of an inch of rain since May 1st, none of that came down at more than a couple hundredths at one time and did little to effect soil moisture. I've been watching the radar real close lately and all the rain skirts around us. It sprinkled here last night for an hour and looked like we had more coming, checked the rain gauge this am and that darn june bug most have drank everything in there. My sweet corn I planted the first week of April is 2 1/2 tall and I can look down and see a tassel coming. We are 45 mi NW of Des Moines. Nate
