We have to water on a daily basis, during the summer, unless showers move through. The soil in the beds is very light, (been composting with cow poo for years), plus we added sand to lighten it even further, so it doesn't hold moisture well. We also have unlimited water in our well, which is located in the little garden building. We also side dress with comercial fertilizer.
