this was taken last night the town in the forground is ruidoso nm, about 10 miles west of us, to give an idea of scale the mountain peak at the far left of the pic is 12,003 feet above sea level, many homes have already been lost one was an uncle and his wife, ages 90, there safe but have probably lost all, many friends lost their house too, winds shift may occure today if it goes as predicted, the fire could head right at the town, maybe we'll be lucky and it wont, and stay just north of it, as for us, we're fine so far, just heavy smoke
