I still work with things that need odd size solid wire core plug wires. My NAPA store supplied me(they had to order it) with a 50 ft roll of wire and a good assortment of terminal ends and boots. From my stock car racing days I still have the little crimping tools that came with universal race plug wire sets to put the "correct" crimp in the terminal ends.
