If that was true no one would be paying more that the minimum wage. I have a small factory and have never paid the minimum wage. I pay what it takes to keep people coming to work every day. If I pay less than what most are paying in the area I do not get anyone to work. If I want the better, come to work every day worker, I need to pay a little more. The minumim wage has nothing to do with what people pay for a person needed every day. The amount of people to fill the openings does. If there are more jobs than people to fill those jobs in an area the wage per hour goes up.
