Cameron County (the very southern tip) Texas is pretty darn dry, but we have already cut several times. Got a few small showers in the last few days, but total less than 1/4 inch. BUT, we have irrigation but it"s getting used up fast again. Plus the cost of the water makes the hay prices go up.....not the mention the diesel to run the tractor. Did I mention the price of fertilizer? Uhg. Mid to upper 90"s each day and plenty of sunshine. Did I mention the humidity? Uhg.....again.
