I had a bare back model years ago and it was a decent tractor, lots of power. I pulled a 4/16" trailer plow with it just fine burning four to five gallons an hour. It heated up the gas tank pretty good (hot to the touch) and with the vented gas cap it probably boiled off some gas. I sold it to a dairy farmer who wanted it for a grinder because it started real well in winter. I religiously used IH low ash oil that is made for these tractor.
