Potato;s will make up without vines being dead and without flowering. Smaller size, wont be resistant to thin skin,so to have a successful bounty, spuds are planted in 2-3 week in April. Planting by "THE LIGHT OF THE SILVERY MOON" is for music lovers and doesn't have a dam thing to do with potato production unless one tries to plant em in OCT-NOV etc.Next thing I expect to read is,"potato's wont grow unless the old dog is standing on it's hind legs with their front feet pointing in opposite directions while relieving themselves on the north end pasture post during a blizzard in July" LOU.
