I don't trust ANY jackstands. I had a car fall off a jack onto me when I was a dumb 16 year old kid. There was no weight on me, but I was trapped and couldn't get out from under it.
My mother and sister heard me yell, came and jacked the thing up so I could get out. The experience made a rather indelible impression on me.
Now, between tree stumps, cap blocks, even spare tires, I absolutely will not crawl under a vehicle unless there's enough stuff piled under it so that even if it falls off of whatever is holding it up, there's still enough room for me to slide out from under it.
