I had a bad year last year. This year is not looking to good either. I plant Silver King and have had good luck in the past. Last year was so wet I think the seed rotted. This year it came up spotty and I replanted it but now we are wet again and cold so I don't know what will happen.
I have had Chipmunks, turkeys and crows pull the corn out. With the price of sweet corn and fertilizer, I might just stick to ear corn.
I bought my seed from Harris Seed the last 2 years and before that I Bought from Roher Seed. I get skips because I use a plate planter and the seed is not uniform. I used to be able to buy medium flats.
