Haven't heard of it, wish I could be of more help. Most places around TVA lakes cater to fishing tourism. I wouldn't worry about it. Of course I worked with a guy that told me of a community he couldn't remember the name of that his family wouldn't travel through because of a couple bad run ins with the locals. I mentioned a community called Hickory Tree, he said yep that's it. I didn't say anything but that's where I was raised. Growing up there, my grandparents never locked their doors. Us kids walked about everywhere never ran into anyone wishing us trouble. Been trying to move back for a few years now. I think the clannish reputation of some of these small communities is very exaggerated or maybe some people just look for trouble and it finds them a little more often in these back water places. Are you planning a visit soon? Really good fishing around here for the most part.
