Down pressure may help. New cutting edges, from Danuser, may help too (and Danuser is an american family owned company).
Another down pressure idea: get a second person, and a front end loader with down pressure. Let one person keep the three point in down position, and use the loader to push down. My dad and I used this method to dig I don't know how many holes, using a cheap TSC type digger...until the gears in the digger wore out. With that digger, in hard, non-irrigated Arizona fence rows was the only way we could get the thing in the ground! We also tried to use two, two-way hydrolic cylinders on an after market Farmall M 3point...Didn't help at all.
Since then, we have gotten a hold of an old Danuser F2, made it fit our ACD15, and we don't need down pressure. It has their Serrated Edge on it.
