After thinking about this, and maybe it makes no real sense, but with all these municipalities raising assessments, do you think they do it because a high percentage of people don't dispute it, then when they do, they often times reduce or revert to the previous value, which a person could have also disputed, so the tax payer feels good about the reduction, but obviously won't be back to see if the previous or original assessment could be reduced. So they raise you, those who dispute get it reduced, and are satisfied. It sounds silly, but what actually goes through these peoples minds when they raise the pot on your poker game ? They're all up to no good LOL !!!
