I always stop to walk in quiet old cemetarys, and see so many plots of young women, early 20's and babys who died with, or near the time of the Mom. Child birth death appears to be common in the 1800's..imagine, being on a homestead miles from a town, or Doctors, and the Doctors were often poorly trained, and knew no hygine, and you maybe couldn't afford to pay a doctor anyway. There is an old Mormon Cemetary along highway 2 in southern Iowa, the old "Mormon Trail" and so many of those laid to rest there were young women
