Not being able to stick a spike into a bale can indicate too high moisture which causes a heavy bale. :roll:
Certified scales tell what bales weigh not guessing. NH doesn't advertise that a chain baler such as you have will make a 2000 lb. + bale!!!!!!!! If you don't believe me research the facts yourself. I'll bet NH advertised bale weight is when baling pure ALFALFA not grass hay.
