I've got a grass weed (rough stalk bluegrass) growing in my alfalfa/grass fields. I've looked it up and chemical control does not work as all grass gets wacked. I only grow hay( no corn) on 20 acres( in 4 acre strips) and I am trying to figure out a rotation. One method would be to spray round up in the fall to burn off the entire strip then plow and plant straight grass in the spring. I really wanted to get into a late August plow/plant cycle so I have a full crop next June. Also, I need to rotate out of alfalfa for 1 full year so straight alfalfa is not a choice.
