I've got an iPad 2 they're as durable as any tablet and probably more durable than a folding laptop, which I will never have another. I have a griffin case on mine it's military rated to be dropped and to be used in the rain. I use mine as a shop manual all the time it gets nasty but cleans easily. I don't know I'd get another apple product just because it costs more for anything you download than android stuff does. The big problem I had was uploading pictures to the photo adds here on yt so I use my phone when I need to. I would get a griffin case for anything though they have a great product.
