The pressure rating is based on internal seal and component design, not Displacement, or RPM. The smaller the displacement per revolution, the less rapid the cylinders move. The greater, the faster. Hose ratings in working pressure should be at least 50% more than regulated pressure. All systems should have a pressure regulator to prevent broken components and burst hoses/pipes. It should be set to the working rated pressure of the pump, or less. My reasons for hose working pressure higher is that the load may shift, or the pressures when stopping a lowering load may exceed the pump pressure by quite a bit. Jim
