I saw the cousin in the local restaurant today.( I went to town looking for him) He did not know that I knew what he is pulling. I told him I was needing some more ground to rent and I was going to ask his cousin's wife if she wanted to let me rent their ground. HE got all red in the face and told me he had that farm "wrapped up" for now and in the future. I told him that was funny because I know the farms ground on each side of that ground rents for over $350 dollars an acre, Spring payment of 100%. I told him, as loud as I could, that he was only "renting" that ground for $175 per acre an had skipped making the spring rent payment. You could have heard a pin drop in the restaurant. LMAO Every old gossip now knows he is messing his cousin over on the rent money. HEE HEE. I bet the phone lines where buzzing this afternoon.

The real funny part of this is that the renter/cousin does not own much ground at all. He is renting just about all of his ground. That is 1200-1300 acres of ground. If it gets around that he is missing rent payments his life is going to get real interesting. LOL.

I also found out he just bought a new car and pickup truck in the last month. I am really thinking he was just trying to pull one over on his relation. He has late model equipment and does not seem to really work at it real hard. I have never dealt with him as he has all CIH equipment.

PS: I talked to the soldier's wife tonight. She was able to get everything caught up and now is current on all of the bills. I told her what I had done in town. She had a good laugh out of that. I told her again not to let things get behind. Just come an see me and we would work it out some how. ( No dirty minds here. This young lady is a good friend of my wife's.) Plus I have know her husband since he was born. His family has gone to my church since before he was born. You maybe wondering why his family is not involved. His folks had him real late in life they both are gone and he was an only child. He only has one Uncle and a few cousins left for family. They are the one pulling things on him.

So we will have to see what happens.

Today's Featured Article - Third Brush Generators - by Chris Pratt. While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point ... [Read Article]
