May not be the case, but what I've found with the trickle charger is they won't charge a completely dead battery.... I have a jumper pack that I use to "shock" them for lack of better words, then hook up the slow charger. Another thing I've had luck with is to hook up the charger to a good barrery, then use jumper cables from it to the completely dead ones....
