I went (briefly) yesterday to the LaVerne Tieken auction near Milford, NE that's been mentioned a coupla times on this forum.
As I've mentioned, that was once my grandfather's place, and the place my mother grew up on. I spent a lot of time on the place both when I was a kid and as an adult. One of my uncles who wound up with possession of it sold it to Tieken about 15 years ago.
There was an unbelievable amount of stuff on the auction, plus many, many tractors. Only a couple of the tractors appeared to be running and useable as is.
I didn't stay long. For one thing, we had two graduation parties and a birthday party to go to before the day was over. Plus it was too depressing to see the place in its current run-down and dilapidated condition, compared to how well kept I recall it as a youngster.
