When I painted my 230 Farmall a couple years ago, I replaced the gauges and switch thinking I was "upgrading". Last year the new switch failed so I put the old one back in. Now, the new ammeter failed so I put the 55 year old one back in - works perfect. Guess in the future I"ll just clean up the old ones or have them restored.
Glad I saved the old gauges. You would think there would be some improvement in 55 years but that"s sure not the case.
