Around here, $124 is cheap for such a good brand name of boots, and yes, if you're working outdoors around horses and any machinery, steel toes are a must have. Many is the time steel toes have saved my toes from shod horses' feet, and other heavy objects. A good comfortable pair of steel toed boots will never pinch. I wear mine outdoors all the trime, and I never find them uncomfortable, even walking some long distances. I have Terra Lites tho.
