I hope the Red wings work out for you, I went through the same thing with the steel toe and finally gave up on them, always rubbing or pinching. I wear #608's in the summer, removable insole and waterproof, and insulated ones in the winter. I never walk around mud or manure! Red Wings are good shoes once you find what fits your particular need.Clean em up every couple of weeks and soak em down with mink oil and you will get your money's worth out of them.
