I have a 2000 ford ranger that blew a head gasket and bumped just about all anifreeze into crank case. Tore it down and the valve cover, heads and what we can see of the motor is covered with the slime about 1/2" thick in some places. Before tearing it down I dropped the oil and put in new oil and filter and ran it a bit to hopefully get some of the fresh oil into the mains, cam and such. I am sure there is a lot more we can't see such as the pan. What can I do to clean up the inside of the motor after I put it together. Is there something I can add to the new oil to help clean it out? Or, can I just run the moter a couple hundred miles and change the oil a few times. Thanks funtwohunt
