Larry J. is the owner of an old Case. He has a granddaughter who is talented enough to be in a national contest called Google Doodle. Janae M. is in the 6th grade and has won the Michigan contest for this age group (6th and 7th graders) and would like you to vote for her in the national contest. Her work of art is entitled "The Welcoming Future" and her grandpa (a buddy of mine) would be delighted to see her win. This is a large family of 10 kids and the dad has finally gotten a job after 3 years of under and unemployment. He never gave up and he now has a good job, but you all know it takes a long time to recover from financial disaster like that. Thank you all very much. Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Argyle and Mt. Pleasant Labor Day Weekend Shows - by Cindy Ladage. The last fling before summer fades into fall and we get busy in the fields are the annual Labor Day tractor shows. Beginning on September 5th and running through the 7th, the Argyle Antique Gas and Engine Show is held at the Argyle State Park. Located in West Central Illinois, the pine forest was the setting for the opening of the 22nd show.
