Hello Dave 641, If you can get to the push rod, when the lash is correct you will have a little drag on it. Onother way is to use the .014 and .016 feeler gauges for your .015 setting. When the lash is correct, .014 will go right through and .016 won't go in.There are feeler gauges like that, i have a couple of them. They are called go and no go feeler gauges. I don't like adjusting the valves when the engine is running, once you put the feeler gauge in, the clearance is zero while the engine is running.? You feeler gauges won't look pretty after that either! You certainly won't be using it to set ignition points! Guido.
