Ralphwd45, The wire is run off the ground about 3-4 inches and the second wire is about 7-10 above the ground, this keeps the rabbits, and chipmunks out, if deer show up later we add another one about 3 ft off the ground.Sorry it took a while to answer, just got back from town and read you question, Regards,LOU
