After a while the aluminum alternator oxidizes and becomes the same colour as the ford sheet metal. I was talking about two cylinder JD's with butt ugly alternator conversions. Can't see the M conversion.

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned.
