To withstand a deer hit, I'm thinking that you need a custom job like tow trucks have, homemade. Those ones that take at least three guys to mount. Two beefy guys dying while trying to hold it up while the third tries desperately to get the bolts in and nuts started before the other two guys collapse or just drop the whole thing on the third guys with the nuts and bolts.

Aren't too many brush guards worth much more than the cool looks of holding up a new set of after market fog or driving lights. Not that there aren't some, but most seen out and about are not.
