I can't say for the new ones, but the older ones were well worth the money. I got one on a new 1978 pickup and within 30 days I hit a deer, no damage. Wife thought it was wasted money, but was with me when we hit the deer, she then changed her mind. Also hit another a year later and still no damage. I can't think of the name for sure, but I think it was made by Bimco. They were well built, and a lot better looking than the newer ones today, my opinion only. There were a lot of them sold in my area.
