I work in the oil field and have for over 37 years, believe me, I have always had to go where the work is and still do. I have seen the shortage of welders, especially in shipyards, firsthand since at least 1978, in that same time vocational education in High Schools and Vo-Tech acadamies has almost ceased to exist, people have been sold a bill of goods about what a mickey mouse college degree will do for them.
