Most people, myself included, wind up voting for the candidate their party of choice has running because there is nobody else, which illustrates my whole point about term limits, we need a constitutional amendment mandating what the founders intended, people taking time out of their careers and lives to serve a few years in public office as a public service, not slop like hogs at a trough for 30, 40 or 50 years and give themselves benefits and perks fit for royalty. The system is absolutely corrupt because of it, we would have a lot less meddling in our lives and industry killing regulation if the people making these rules and laws had to live and make a living under the same laws.
