Was real gald when a German driver hit the rear of our convoy (in route to Graf from Stugartt) on my first tour that it was the Germans fault and he missed the tail jeep and kissed the back of a M60A1 tank. Sad part was he was driving a VW van and a total of 9 died. Convoy speeds in those days was 25 with tracked vehicles and they figure that he was going over 60.
Bad deal for our soldiers, I feel for the families.
