It is not just labor costs. Tractor sales in India are about 350K units per year. Most in the HP range that is built there. Sales in the U.S. and Europe are about 250K each for all sizes. Large row crop are the big sellers in the U.S. and 100 HP and less are the big sellers in Europe. Deere have tried to build tractors where the biggest market for them is.
