A few years ago I bought an older (1985) motor home with low mileage. What made the deal was the tires looked like new. After the third blowout (2 on one short trip) I broke down and bought new tires. The old ones were made in the '90s. So I found out the hard way that yes, today's tires have a limited life. They dry out and go "BOOM".
