classic running out of fuel symtoms, several things to check, first the fuel cap itself, it should be vented, when the mower engine stops, quickly remove the fuel cap, if you hear a sucking sound the cap vent is plugged, the pump is creating a vacuum in the tank untill it can no longer overcome it , if thats not it, there has to be a filter or screen in the line someplace, some are on the very end of the fuel line in the tank, a little disc looking thing, some are in the fuel line itself, and some have a screen in the top of the carb, even though the carb is overhauled, if you got a bad load of gas, and have trash in the tank, you still have a flow problem, , see if these items find you anything
