When fixing up these tractors, I often run across previous repairs....the worst involve covers or plates that are siliconed on (I really hate that stuff, though have resorted to that necessary evil a few times). Most of the time I can pry it loose or cut it loose.
I have a few stuck covers (usually bearing covers) that are attached in such a way I can't pull or pry, or slide a razor knife underneath, nor get enough of a twist to break the silicone loose.
Any suggestions on how to get the silicone loose? Would a torch work to burn it?
