Run your engine at high idle, and hold a rag or shop towel up to the grill: if the rag is sucked up flat to the grill,you have good air flow thru rad. If not, you need to clean the fins out.Otherwise, I'd say your radiator core is plugged. Also if no coolant was puking out radiator overflow, maybe the guage is reading high; you could check with infra red thermometer. MARK
