The starter will not run if it is in gear so how the he!! do you expect him to start it in gear to drive around, stand in between the front and rear tires and use jumper cables and when it starts be run over with the rear wheel. You sure are not thinking as the only way to do the starter bypass in from standing on the ground in front of that left rear wheel.
