Greetings from Clinton Camp Farm. We made it through the 3rd warmest March on record, We planted 140A of oats. All the corn ground is plowed, and for us there are no wet spots. We haven't started secondary tillage on the corn ground, because the soil is powdery dry, and it has been very windy. I have been cutting fire wood. The weather is perfect for that, high 40s, No Bugs!, and no mud. Today we got a touch of percipitation, in the form of "Gropple" (the weather watcher's word of the day). It started groppleing about 3:30 and I headed home with the Kubota and splitter. The pics. show what I drove home in. We are in dire need of some real rain to get all plant life growing and turning green. Maybe next week, warmer weather and rain predicted. Loren the Acg.
