Mwhite12: Please email me and I will give you my phone number and you can call me. I can call you too if you want.

IS the person/shop that is doing the work a JD dealer or an independent shop?? The reason I am asking is that if you are not familiar with JDs hydraulic system and don't run pressure/flow/leak checks BEFORE you work on it, you can bolt on parts for a long time and still not get it to work right.

The Hi-LO not working and the remotes not working both are symptoms of low charge pump pressure/flow. This can be cause by an internal leak that could have happened all at once.

Some simple things to check that you should be able to do on your own.
1) Start the tractor and remove the hydraulic oil filler cap. Take a light an see if you can see any hydraulic oil leaking/spraying around in the rear end section. One of the little cameras that are made to look inside of walls works real well to look in a small hole. If you see anything leaking or spraying around then the rock shaft housing need to be removed. The lift control valve orings and packings need replaced. Maybe even the lift piston oring too.

Does the hydraulics work if the lift control arm is pushed all the way down??? This would take the three point system out of the circuit unless the control valves are really leaking bad.

2) Remove the cover that goes between the seat mount and the gear shifts. It has a bolt in each corner. You can slide it up and off with both gear shifts back. Then put the tractor into park. Slide either shift boot up. Remove the snap ring that holds the gear shift into the housing. Put the gear shift up and out of the housing. Start the tractor. Take a light and look down into the shifter hole. You should NOT see any oil spraying around. If you do then there is a leak on the charge pump/PTO lines or system. The tractor will need split at the transmission to repair this.

3) Drain the hydraulic oil and pull the suction screen out and see if there are brake lining chunks in the sump screen. This can cause all kinds of issue too.

I can keep guessing here for a long time. Please give me a call.

Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Godfrey, Illinois Country Days - by Cindy Ladage. Except for last fourth of July's Old Gold show in Springfield, Illinois, I don't remember when it was so hot. Nevertheless, the heat didn't keep vendors and visitors alike from enjoying the third annual Country Day's Event. Jane Elliott said the event was originally a one man show. "Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this ... [Read Article]
