When I first started out, I used Mystic JT5 (IIRC), a regional brand, I think they used to be out of Tulsa, OK, but got bought by someone else and are out of Houston, TX, nowIIRC..... Put it in the 4020, 4320, and consequently ended up also in the Vermeer 23, 10 wheel rake, the disc-cutter, moldboard plow hydraulics, etc, etc..... Currently runs about 25,- for a 2gal jug. Therefore, when I got the 5010, I put a store brand from Atwood's (Superior???, ~35,- for 5 gal.) 303 back into it, plan to go with the 303 in every other tractor, when oil changes come due incl. a Ford 3000, if they have hydraulics. If not, I go with dealer recommended or store brand equivalent, incl. Mystic. Engine oil: I always use dealer oils, no exceptions.
