I can always remember there being a phone in the house when I was real young. Probably around 1950 when I actually got to use the phone my self. We were on a four party line. Our number was 4509, don't know why I remember it but I do. There were two sisters on the line who would keep the phone tied up for hours. One time I was listening to them talk about nothing.
