locally the way to go is stop at cycle salvage yard for a crashed 4 cylinder cycle engine with bits and pieces, tuck into lawnmower frame and under hood with some spacers, get older Ford rear end and shorten one side axle and housing, jack shaft and sprockets to connect engine with a electric fan blowing on cylinders if aircooled, try to fit required rollbar of mower frame and the extra subframe--then GO!. A old Sears Suburban with a Honda 750/4 tucked under hood -with some side flaring- doesn"t cut grass anymore, but does pull a trailer yet. A Honda Magna 750 V with shaft drive can be coupled to car rear end, a old Chevy Vega engine can be used under AC hood. The things people do at end of winter when cabin fever sets in- and access to welder in farm shop and salvage yard close enough for whatever gets interesting. RN
