the six volt turns them over fast enough for starting. thing is everyone has other six volt problems that are not upkept and blame it on the six volt batt. i just dont know why you need small 4 cyl. farmall A or H on 12 volts spinning 200 rpm with the starter slamming the bendix into the ringgear damaging both. plus the magneto is designed for slow cranking by the use of the impulse coupling. i 100 percent agree with him keeping it original, espessially on a more collectable unit. 12 volt will devalue it.
