Back in '73, we'd just bought our first farm. I bought the 8N and mower that I think my hay guy was trying to hide from the bank; then a McCormick W4 or 800 bucks, then my "main" tractor, a JD 420! First nice day of spring I went out to the machine shed and started them all up. Was just standing there watching them run, wife comes up and asks what I'm doing. Told her I was just "enjoyin' the moment".
Put up my first hay that summer- 8N and MF Dyna-balance mower, W4 and AC PTO rake, and 420 (live PTO) with a Ford baler. Fine time had by all.
