at a auction,,unless you/someone know the history about any unit, they [auctioneers] will tell you it runs, nothing wrong with it,, [like cars salesman] just to get it sold..any problems might occur after you get it home,,now if it's cheap enough and runs when/if they start it up, maybe worth it..no different than buying it off c-list, etc,,won't matter what they are worth, at auctions, it what you can pick-it off for..check on c-list/etc,see what they are selling for....go from there.
