Power steering is nice when using a loader, but I have got by for years using my 641D without power steering. It is hard to get it to turn with much weight in the bucket if the tractor is not moving, but much easier if the tractor is going forwards or backwards. It could be difficult in tight quarters, but if you plan ahead a little, it is possible to avoid such situations.
I thought about adding the aftermarket power steering to the 641D, but if I remember right, it would have cost more than I paid for the tractor.
Having a loader makes the tractor handy for all sorts of jobs. I have used mine for scaffolding, carrying stuff around, pushing rocks that would be too heavy to lift, fire fighting and all sorts of other things. If the tractor you are looking at does not have a loader now, unless you have a loader already located, I would look elsewhere. It isn"t totally easy to find a loader that will work right and to install it. Much better to have something that already works. Good luck!
